About Me
I am Dr. Dharshana Weerakoon – a strategic business and finance professional with over 28 years of experience transforming organizations and developing talent across Sri Lanka, Maldives, UAE, Zanzibar, Rwanda, and Saudi Arabia. My career spans senior leadership roles in hospitality, manufacturing, F&B, and export sectors, where I have driven growth, operational excellence, and financial strategy in highly competitive international markets.
Currently, I serve as:
- Group COO – ADN Holdings (Tea exports, manufacturing & hospitality)
- COO – Mashawi Sah Commercial Group, Saudi Arabia (High-end restaurants)
- Director of Finance – Hotel des Mille Collines, Rwanda
- Former Financial Controller – Leading Maldives resorts (Island Hideaway, Loama, Sun Resorts)
I was honored to receive the “Young Accountant of the Year” (2016) award at the South Asian Business Awards, and I am known for my expertise in business transformation, budgeting, cost control, and strategic finance.
Beyond my corporate responsibilities, I am deeply committed to education and leadership development. I serve as a Senior Lecturer & Visiting Faculty at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, IIHE, and ESOFT, and as Course Director at the Institute of Professional Studies & Skill Development.
